Description
The SmartShunt is an all in one battery monitor, only without a display. Your phone acts as the display. The SmartShunt connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect App on your phone (or tablet) and you can conveniently read out all monitored battery parameters, like state of charge, time to go, historical information and much more.
Alternatively the SmartShunt can be connected and be read by a GX device. Connection to the SmartShunt is made via a VE.Direct cable.
The SmartShunt is a good alternative for a BMV battery monitor, especially for systems where battery monitoring is needed but less wiring and clutter is wanted.
The SmartShunt is equipped with Bluetooth, a VE.Direct port and a connection that can be used for: monitoring a second battery, midpoint monitoring or a temperature sensor.

I bought this shunt to interconnect with the MPPT 100/30 Solar Controller. Works a treat, easy to install, great quality, and beng IP65 rated meant that I could mount it externally close to the battery bank. It networks seamlessly with the MPPT so I get a good view of the battery data.

My Renogy batteries came with the Renogy shunt and monitor but you have to mount the monitor in one place. In my old setup I was use to reviewing the batteries through an App which the Renogy shunt doesn't allow, so I got the Victron Shunt so I can review the batteries through an app on my phone. Brilliant and back to being a happy camper :).

The shunt is awesome and with the aid of the Vitron app shows exactly what is happening with the batteries. Getting the shunt delivered took some time, received an email not long after ordering advising item posting soon. Over a week later the item was actually posted.
